VEKA Qualifies First Passive House System

Fombell, Pennsylvania - VEKA, Inc. announces that has tested and qualified its first vinyl window system with PHIUS (Passive House Institute US). The Evolutions® Double Hung/Slider System is the first vinyl system to meet specifications under PHIUS in the US from a vinyl extruder. The Evolutions® window qualified with a whole-window U-value of 0.20/R-value 5 with 1.25" triple glazed, Argon gas filled. "The Evolutions® platform was specifically designed with future criteria in mind. It is is a very versatile system with scalable capabilities to take advantage of multiple, profitable niche markets like impact, sound control and Passive House.
