  • VEKA products are part of rebuilding disaster areas like Nashville following the recent tornado

We are also proud that we have been able to help local EMS through donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Also, in cooperation with our third party logistics partner, C.H. Robinson, we are showing our appreciation to truck drivers by handing out thank you gift bags with snacks and drinks.

We want to thank all of our industry partners who continue to remain diligent in supplying us with materials we need to manufacture essential products for our customers and communities.

As always, thank you and we hope you remain safe.

Sincerely,

COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Update

Team VEKA,

3/19/2020

Tonight, Governor Wolf has ordered all non-life sustaining businesses to close in Pennsylvania beginning at 8:00 PM Thursday for an undetermined amount of time. The Governor's office has released an extensive list of businesses that may remain open and those that are required to close (please see the detailed listing: https://docs.google.com/file/d/1sUJLtmTSeqYwZ-zqOutgG-__tVcWceQD/view). Based on the Governor's classification, VEKA is among the businesses designated to continue to operate..

VEKA is committed to strictly follow all local, state and national laws, particularly all CDC and PA Department of Health recommendations regarding COVID-19. Our current Safety Policy incorporates mandatory steps as well as other best practices that go beyond. Accordingly, we will continue to operate following these strict guidelines. All VEKA North America plant operations are fully functional until further notice.

As the COVID-19 crisis is likely to last for a lengthy period, our goal is to offer our team members a safe work environment along with an opportunity to earn an income during these challenging times. This will allow us to continue to supply and support our valued customers. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and comply with all laws and regulations. For updates please visit www.vekainc.com, or www.vekaolp.com. Thank you.

Be well,

Joe Peilert

COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Update

3/17/2020

3/17/20 – In these challenging times, our number one commitment is the safety of our team members, families and business partners. We are following all federal, state and local mandates, as well as all recommendations from the CDC and DOH (Dept. of Health), for our four locations in the U.S.

Throughout VEKA North America, many of the recent recommendations from local, state and federal officials had already been implemented. Last Friday, we suspended all international and domestic travel and began plans for employees who can work from home to be able do so. This will go into effect starting today and covers approximately 80% of our office employees. We have suspended all outside visitation unless pre-approved or part of a routine delivery category, like vending and cleaning services.

VEKA headquarters in Fombell, PA, is over 700,000 square feet under roof, with just over 500 employees, working four shifts. These employees do not all work together at the same time. There is plenty of space for each employee to perform their operational duties while following CDC protocols safely: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov. This is the case at all four manufacturing locations.

State officials’ orders regarding public/retail closures do not include manufacturing facilities at this time. These protocols may vary state by state. VEKA is an OEM supplier whose buildings are NOT public facilities and are still considered essential. North American Board members are meeting daily to report updates on all facets of the business. Customers and vendors have been notified regarding our policies as they are today and will continue to be updated in these ever-changing conditions.

VEKA currently employs over 850 individuals nationwide. We have a responsibility to each and every employee and their families to continue to provide for them. We have instituted the CDC guidelines regarding social distancing, as well as other protocols to ensure their safety and

well-being.

This is an extremely fluid situation and we will continue to monitor all activity and provide updates through our website: www.vekainc.com.

COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Update

3/13/2020

In response to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, VEKA is taking the necessary steps to protect the continuous, safe operation of our business as it pertains to all stakeholders, including our employees, our customers, ownership and the communities in which we live and serve.

To accomplish this, we are relying on guidelines and recommendations provided by the CDC

www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov and are implementing the following precautionary measures:

The company has cancelled international business travel. All domestic business travel by VEKA employees has been suspended unless absolutely critical in respect to our customers business. This mandate includes travel between VEKA facilities as well as travel to third party facilities. We recommend that every measure be taken to use technology as a means of communication with all outside parties until further notice.

Unscheduled or unapproved, external visits from outside are generally suspended with the exception of deliveries and normal day-to-day business activities where other arrangements cannot be made.

At this time, we do not expect any disruption of operations in any of our North American VEKA facilities or throughout our supply chain. However, in the event that public health officials request that VEKA modifies its operations due to quarantines or other community containment, all departments at VEKA have been asked to prepare and enable staff to perform their critical daily business functions from home if there are no requirements for them to be on-site at any of the facilities.

We appreciate the trust, cooperation and understanding of everyone we associate with. The situation we are all facing is obviously very fluid and we will continue to monitor the situation and take any actions necessary to keep our employees and customers safe while providing products and services needed to conduct daily business without interruption.

We wish everyone good health and continued prosperity in these challenging times.

Thank You,

Joe Peilert

President and CEO
